Five O'Clock Somewhere

Welcome to Five O'Clock Somewhere, where it doesn't matter what time zone you're in; it's five o'clock somewhere. We'll look at rural life, especially as it happens in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, cats, sailing (particularly Etchells racing yachts), and bits of grammar and Victorian poetry.

The difference between a begonia and a double begonia

or, how to get from here to there ...

So, do you know the difference between a begonia and a double begonia?

Well ...

A begonia is a sausage ...

A sausage and battery is a crime ...

Monkeys crime trees ...

Trees a crowd ...

The rooster crowd in the morning and made a lot of noise ...

The noise is a feature of the face, located near the eyes ...

Eyes is the opposite of nays ...
A mare nays when it has a colt ...

And you'd better be careful if you have a colt, so you don't catch double begonia!

Edit: I've replaced one of the photos with an especially appropriate video ...

I guess you've proven once again, Carol Anne, that any two words in the language are connected by no more than six degrees of desperation.

Like, frog girl is so totally silly!

Anybody can tell that was a battupirate, not a batturay.

I have now edited the post to replace one of the pictures with a video ... Thanks, Bonnie, for reminding me about that incident at Miller Park a few years back; it's much better than the picture of the t-shirt from the geek catalog.

I figure if you posted about begonias and roosters, then my post about a goose couldn't be too crazy.

cheers,
